An 85-year old woman has passed away in the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities have said.

There were 186 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 286 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 2,230.

There are 89 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only hospital being reported) including 4 who are in ITU.

There have been 571 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday have not been updated and is still showing 335,128.
