A 77-year old man has passed away during the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities have said.

There were 94 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 70 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo to 737.

There are 43 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital including 3 who are in ITU (figures for Gozo General Hospital have not been updated).

There have been 606 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 343,449.
