Prime Minister Robert Abela, while addressing a political event in Sannat on Saturday evening, said that a major proposal that is “expected to create more jobs for Gozitans in Gozo” is “a tax credit of €50,000 for each company in the digital field that starts operating on the island.”

Abela stated, “if Gozitans give me the mandate, every company in the digital field that starts working in Gozo will be given a tax credit of up to €50,000. Any investment in fixed capital in Gozo will be given a grant of 40% of the investment made. We will set up a new centre of excellence for research in Gozo. We will invest at least € 162 million in European funds in Gozo.”

He also spoke about the idea of including the Citadel bastions on the UNESCO World Heritage List, while also pointing out the proposals for an open and green space in Victoria, and incentives for businesses in Gozo.

Abela stated that the Labour Party in Government “has not stopped investing in Gozo and Gozitans.”
