Two men, aged 80 and 90, have passed away during the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities said today.

There were 138 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 84 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo back up over 1,000 to 1,002.

There are 35 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital including 4 who are in ITU (figures for Gozo General Hospital have not been updated).

There have been 612 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 345,398.
