Seven men are being held by the Police in connection with a homicide that took place last night in Marsalforn, Gozo.

Police said that investigations by the Homicide Squad and the District Police revealed that the victim, a 25-year old Syrian man, was stabbed during an argument. He died from his injuries shortly after.

Three of the men are being held in hospital under police surveillance, while four others were taken to the GHQ lockup.

Duty Magistrate Dr Bridgette Sultana is leading an inquiry.
