A 14-year-old boy has been seriously injured after falling off a motorbike he was riding at the racetrack on Rabat Road, Nadur, Gozo.

Police said that they were advised of the accident at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon.

The boy was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Duty Magistrate Bridgette Sultana has launched an inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
