The Opposition Spokesperson for Gozo, Alex Borg, recently paid a visit to the Ark Foundation in Ghajnsielem at the invitation of its Director, Fr. Michael Galea.

The Nationalist Party MP expressed his appreciation for the relentless work of this Foundation and all those who are part of it.

Borg said that he was told of the large investment that has been made at the facility and that this was thanks to the Gozitan and Maltese people in financial donations, as well as the direct help of the Ministry for Gozo so that a ‘multi-sensory room’ could be built.

The Arka Foundation explained to Mr Borg that they are in need of volunteers, not only for people who help patients with their daily needs, but also for professionals, such as physiotherapists, nurses and doctors.

Alex Borg concluded by urging every professional “to give a few hours a week to this Foundation so that together we can have the peace of mind that the Ark Foundation continues to operate in the best possible way.”
