Joseph Micallef, who for the past four years occupied the post of Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for Gozo, recently retired from the public service.

Prior to his Gozo posting, Mr Micallef served in various other roles at different Ministries.

Mr Micallef hosted staff deployed within the Ministry for Gozo to farewell drinks. He described his role as Permanent Secretary as an interesting and fulfilling one especially when one considers the number of significant projects that were effected in Gozo during the time of his office.

He remarked that his visits to Gozo will now present him with another more relaxed perspective of how he looks at the island.
