Nature Trust FEE Malta under its EcoSchools and Young Reporter ESD programmes, has held its Sustainable Mobility awards for 2021-2022 and the YRE Awards.

During these awards, organisations and individuals who were also nominated by schools were awarded. The awardees included Mayors, Community Police and individuals promoting a change.

In Gozo, the Gozo Community Police Team were nominated by year 6 students of St Francis Primary School, Victoria, for the Sustainable Mobility Award.

This follows an event held in April when the team participated with their e-bikes and segways in a Green Travel Plan Day organised by the school.The award was presented in appreciation of the Gozo Community Police Team’s efforts in promoting and supporting sustainable mobility within the community.

The team expressed their sincere thanks to the students and staff of St Francis Primary School Victoria and congratulated them for inspiring for a better quality of life and sustainable localities.

“We look forward for further collaborations in the future.”
