The National Blood Transfusion Service gives thanks to the 31 people who, despite the heat, called to donate blood last Sunday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Meanwhile the Service continues to encourage healthy people to please come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the sick and inured, whose lives depend on blood transfusions
The Service said that with this in mind, the next session is on Tuesday, the 14th of June from from 10.30am to 5pm (with a break between midday and 1pm) – which is World Blood Donor Day: Giving blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save people’s lives.
This will be followed by another session on Sunday, the 19th of June, from 8am to 1pm “
“As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated and please encourage others to donate if possible,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
