Concert of classical music marks St. Anthony of Padua feast

To mark the occasion of the feast of St. Anthony of Padua, the Pope JPII Foundation presented an evening of classical music entitled ‘A Tenor’s Song’ with the participation of the Maltese tenor Alan Sciberras, accompanied by pianist Sofia Narmania.
There was a large appreciate audience for the event, which took place in the church of the Franciscan Friars in Ghajnsielem.
The evening concluded with the announcement that the JP2 Foundation would be organising another evening on Friday, the 15th of July, in Sannat, to which everyone is invited
The concert was sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo, the Ghajnsielem Local Council, who was represented by Mr Stephan Mercieca Councillor and the Grand Hotel Gozo in Mgarr, with the full cooperation of the Franciscan Friars who are responsible for the spiritual assistance of this area of the village.
The Foundation gave thanks to photographer Paul Scicluna and videographer Charles Buttigieg.
