Blood donation session in Gozo on Father’s Day

The National Blood Transfusion Service has sincerely thanked the 52 people who called to donate blood at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo on World Blood Donor Day
Meanwhile the Service continues to encourage healthy people to please come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the sick and inured, whose lives depend on blood transfusions
The Service said that with this in mind, the next session is on Sunday, the 19th of June – Father’s Day – from 8am to 1pm.
This will be followed by another session on Tuesday, the 28th of June, from 1pm to 5pm;
“As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated and please encourage others to donate if possible,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
Those who tested positive for Covid will be able to donate blood two weeks after the end of quarantine.
