Ghajnsielem Local has advised that Triq Wied Rghajjes will be closed for traffic due for the next few days due to a partial road collapse.
In a Facebook post on Monday, the Council urged motorists to please avoid the area.
The road had been constructed over a valley and photographs published by the Council show that the hole leads to a stormwater culvert.
The Council thanked Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri who had been on site and offered immediate assistance.
