A 36-year old man was grievously injured on Wednesday afternoon in an accident on a construction site in Sannat, Gozo

Police said that the accident happened at around 5pm in Triq ta’ Xaghman, when a wooden plank the man was standing on gave way and he fell the height of around one storey.

The man, who is from Victoria, was assisted by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries

Police investigations are ongoing.
