While the feasts give colour to our culture, so blood donations give life to many patients. The constant need for blood never ceases. Giving blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save people’s lives.

The National Blood Transfusion Service is therefore urging Gozitans to show their solidarity and please help those in need by making a donation on one of the five dates that are shown below.

Blood is precious and giving blood is an essential service, “that cannot be neglected.”

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club:

Sundays – last registration 1:00pm

9th August from 8:00am-1:00pm

23rd August from 8:00am-1:00pm

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

14th August 1:00pm to 5:00pm

28th August 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
