The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, and Dr Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information, recently attended the Jum Kercem celebrations.
This years celebration included the commemoration of Bishop Mario Grech’s 25th anniversary from his ordination, and the presentation of Gieh Kerem to Mr Angelo Grech and Mr George Pace.
A presentation of books was made to all the Kercem children who attend kindergarten classes.
A new water catchment system was also inaugurated by the Minister for Gozo and the Kercem Mayor, Mr Joe Grima.
The evening concluded with the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Kercem Local Council being commemorated.
