Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar is delighted to announce its ‘Island Reflections’ art exhibition to open to the public at the Casino Maltese from Sunday the 30th of November. This exhibition will feature works by no less than sixty of Malta’s leading artists including Tonio Mallia, John Martin Borg, Winston Hassall, Debbie Caruana Dingli, Madeleine Gera, Kenneth Zammit Tabona, Matthew Kassar, CS Lawrence, John Grima, Marisa Attard, John Busuttil Leaver, Cedric Galea Pirotta, Arnold Sultana, Anna Galea, Anthony Calleja, Mark England, Zell Osborne, Antoine Camilleri, Isabelle Borg, Graham Cooper, Jennifer Lonfat, Victor Agius, Joan Zammit Cutajar, Laurent Muller, Philip Chircop, Andrew Borg and Frederick Gingell. In addition to many other artists established in painting, sculpture and photography, FAA shall also be exhibiting the work of talented new faces.
The works exhibited range in style from classic to impressionist and even abstract paintings in oils, acrylics and watercolours, as well as plasterwork and collages, while an exciting collection of sculpture takes pride of place.
FAA usually dedicates the funds from its annual art exhibition to a specific cause and the profits from this exhibition will be going to support the campaign to save Ramla l-Hamra, as the battle to save Malta and Gozo’s most beautiful unspoilt beach from speculative development is by no means over. FAA has received great support in this from the artists involved, many of whom are offering their works at very reasonable prices to give viewers the unique opportunity to buy anything from fine art to Christmas presents.
Viewing a collection of over 200 pieces of art from our finest artists while helping to save Malta’s most beautiful iconic beach certainly makes this exhibition the season’s must-see!
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 7.30pm weekdays, Sunday until 3pm until Saturday the 20th December, 2008 (visitors are reminded that Casino Maltese does not permit entry to those wearing jeans).
