The Romania singer Inna will be the special guest for a New Year’s Eve show in Victoria, with full details in the “Christmas in Gozo” programme – highlighting more than a month of activities for the whole family.

Gozo’s Christmas celebrations ensure that the island is a truly magical place to spend time during the festive period.

Christmas events in Gozo take place in every village on the island, with something for all ages to enjoy. The programme of activities includes concerts, living and static cribs, exhibitions, Christmas Fairs, and much more…..

Strolling around the old streets of Victoria, or indeed any of the villages on the island, passers-by will find that many of the residents proudly open their doors and shutters for everyone to enjoy their beautiful displays of Christmas decorations and cribs.

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri announced this year’s programme, which runs from today, the 26th of November, until the 8th of January, with events suitable for the whole family.

The Minister said that Christmas festivities will be kicked off this evening with a concert at the Astra Theatre – It’s Christmas. The climax is reached on the eve of the first of the year with a show in Victoria with the participation of several local singers and international guest, the Romania singer Inna, known for her songs “Sun is Up” and “Amazing,” among others.

He explained that in the Villa Rundle gardens during December, there will be a Christmas Market and a ‘Children’s World’ will also be staged.

This year the living nativity scene, so popular with Gozitans and visitors – Bethlehem f’ Ghajnsielem – will also take place again, and the Grand Christmas Parade through the centre of Victoria, to name but a few.

Minister Clint Camilleri concluded by thanking the organisers, the volunteers and all those involved for their work to ensure the success of this year’s “Christmas in Gozo” programme.
