Following weeks of preparation by the Ghajnsielem NGO – Ghaqda Hbieb tal-Presepju Ghawdex – Sezzjoni Ghajnsielem – an exhibition featuring 31 cribs crafted by Gozitan and Maltese artists, has been inaugurated in Ponte San Pietro, Bergamo (Milan), Italy.

Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri said that, “apart from exposing the rich talent of local artists, we are continuing to promote Gozo in a particular way, as a distinct destination for Christmas time.” The exhibition was blessed by Bishop of Gozo Mons Anton Teuma.

The Mayor of Ghajnsielem Kevin Cauchi said the Ghajnsielem Local Council together with the Ministry for Gozo are the official sponsors of this exhibition “that will certainly honour our locality, Gozo and our Maltese traditions.”

He expressed his thanks and congratulations to all volunteers, crib makers and artist Paul A. Stellini.
