On the occasion of Jum Ghawdex – Gozo Day in October, the Gozo Region said that it wanted to do something practical to celebrate this day and approached secondary schools and the 6th Form in Gozo to ask each student to write an: Idea for Gozo.

The Gozo Region said that the first phase of this programme was completed this week – a total of 800 ideas were suggested by students attending secondary and post-secondary schools.

“These ideas varied greatly, from infrastructure to environmental ideas. However, all the ideas put forward by the youths aim to improve Gozo for the better,” the Gozo Region said.

The next step will be to present the ideas to the Mayors and Councillors of Gozo – in order for the best ones to be implemented. “And hence we improve the Gozitan community with the help of students,” the Gozo Region said.
