No further information was provided by the Minister on date for conclusion of the plan or on what the money was spent on

According to the description of works for the Ramla Masterplan:, it includes “the re-organisation of the existing Class 4D kiosks; The relocation of the public convenience facilities which is being proposed for construction; The construction of an ERRC clinic facility and office/storage instead of the existing public convenience; and the opening of a police station in an already existing room.”

PA 02977/22 for the masterplan was opened in May last year and representations expired in June on the application and it has a decision target date of the 27th of February.

The process for the masterplan was first started in June 2019 by the then Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana, who said that “this area is of ecological and historical importance for Gozo,” and stressed that “the masterplan must protect this natural heritage that shapes the area around it.”

She explained that the aim of the masterplan is to address the existing challenges on the site of Ramla l-Hamra, through better traffic management and improving the facilities of this Blue Flag beach.
