A 43-year old man from Sannat was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Gozo last night.

Police said that the accident happened at around midnight in Triq l-Arcisqof Pietru Pace, Victoria, when was a collision between a Hyundai Getz, driven by the 43-year old man and a Toyota IQ driven by a 41-year old man from Xaghra.

A 38-year old woman was a passenger in the Toyota.

Both drivers were taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where the Hyundai driver was confirmed to have suffered serious injuries, while the other man was slightly injured.

Duty Magistrate Bridgitte Sultana has appointed an inquiry.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
