More than 70 people from Gozitan parishes and communities have been given the Mandate of Lectors by Gozo Bishop Anton Teuma.
This took place on the First Sunday of Lent, in the Sanctuary of Pinu, Gharb.
This follows a five-day course that took place in February with formation and updating for the lectors who broadcast the Word of God in the Diocese of Gozo.
The Diocesan Liturgical Commission said that it is trying to organise several refresher courses for those who give a liturgical service in the Church.
