A 62-year old man from Nadur has been hospitalised with grievous injuries after being involved in a traffic accident in Triq it-Tigrija, Xaghra, Gozo.

Police said that the accident happened at around 10.30am on Monday morning when the man lost control of the Toyota Yaris he was driving and crashed into a wall.

A medical team assisted the driver at the scene before he was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where medical professionals certified his injuries as being of a grievous nature.

Police investigations are ongoing.
