Between the 17th and 23rd of April, 124 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded according to the the latest figures on the Public Health Response Team official open source database.

There was 1 new death. The total number from the start of the pandemic is 835.

Active cases in Malta and Gozo now stands at 248. This brings the number of cases in the Maltese Islands since the start to 118,441.

There were 2,008 tests taken over the same period resulting in a positivity rate of 6.18%.

The Health Department said that tests carried out at home are not included in the figures.
