€65,000 has been collected by Christian communities on Gozo in aid of the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria.
The Diocese of Gozo, through the Caritas, launched the collection campaign in February for all its parishes and churches.
The Gozo Diocese Office said that “thanks to the great generosity of the Christian communities of this island, the sum of €65,000 has been sent this week to the Pope’s Charity Office (the Almsgiving Apostolic) in the Vatican.
“Thank you very much to all those who gave this financial help.from their hearts.”
