The Forest Prep School Choir hailing from London, will be performing in Gozo and Malta this month, hosted by the JP2 Foundation.
The school borders one of the UK’s oldest recorded forests – hence the name. The choir has performed at a number of prestigious UK concert venues, including St Paul’s Cathedral, St James’ Piccadilly and St Bart’s the Great.
The choir sings mostly sacred repertoire, and the trip to Malta marks our second tour abroad.
The choir’s repertoire has expanded to a mixture of classical choral music both traditional and contemporary as well as a mixture of pop and musical theatre songs.
It has sung at festivals across the UK, and is very excited to perform a new programme on their three-day tour in Malta and Gozo.
The Choir will be performing in three different localities.
Gozo – On Monday, the 22nd of May, the choir will perform a recital at St. Paul’s Parish Church in Munxar. Starting at 6.45pm as soon as the church service will finish.
Malta – On Sunday, the 21st of May, the choir will perform a a recital at St. Augustine Church Valletta, starting at 7.45pm as soon as the church service will finish.
On Tuesday, the 23rd of May, the choir will perform its third and last recital at St Anthony of Padua Band Club, Birkirkara starting at 8.00pm.
