The Diocese of Gozo has announced with sadness the death early this morning of Monsignor Paul Cardona, from the Parish of St Margaret, Sannat, at the age of 70.
Rev. Paul has been the Bishop’s Delegate for the Clergy for the last seven years. He served several ministries in the Church, first as Chaplain in the Diocese of Rome for thirty years, then later as Archpriest of the Parish of St. George, Victoria and as Rector of the Church of Santa Lucija.
He was also the successor of the Servant of God Guglielmo Giaquinta as Superior General of the Secular Institute Apostolic Sodales (Pro Sanctitate).
“Give him, O Lord, eternal rest.”
