A 3-year-old girl is in serious condition after falling off a boat into the sea off Ramla l-Hamra Bay, at around 2pm Sunday afternoon.
The little girl was assisted by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital for treatment.
Police said the she is expected to be transported to Mater Dei Hospital in Malta by helicopter for further medical attention.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana is leading an inquiry, while Police investigations are ongoing.

There are laws protecting toddlers in cars. No toddler can sit in front seat, babies and toddlers should have a special car seat etc. Fair enough… cars are dangerious… Aren’t boats more of a danger? While moving and even anchored? Are life jacket enough protection?
