Nominations are now open for the eighth edition of the Gozo Sports Awards, which is being organised by the Services Gozo Directorate at the Ministry for Gozo.

These awards are to honour Gozitan athletes for their commitments and achievements, while rewarding them for their advances in the various sports disciplines.

Athletes may be nominated by their respective Gozitan associations, Gozitan clubs or by the same individuals if they feel they have reached a high level in their respective discipline and in the categories on the application during the year 2022.

Nominations must arrive at the office of the Services Gozo Directorate at the Ministry for Gozo, St Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, until Monday, the 14th of August, by noon at the latest and will be given to Mr Paul Mejlak (customerservices.mgoz@gov.mt).

A confirmation will be issued for each nomination.

Official of the year

Coach of the year

Team of the year

Recognition for an active athlete over 45 years of age (selected by the Services Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo)

Recognition for a sporting career (selected by the Services Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo)

Special recognition – Special Olympics

A promising female youth

A promising male youth

Sportswoman of the year

Sportsman of the year.
