Traditional Markets – is the theme for the 14th SEPAC joint stamp issue. Each year, a joint stamp issue, bearing a common theme, is launched by all member countries within SEPAC.

The set of two SEPAC “Traditional Markets” stamps issued by MaltaPost depict typical market hawkers at their stalls, within a traditional open-air market environment. These were designed by local artist Daniel Spiteri.

The stamps have been issued in a sheet of 10, with each stamp measuring 31mm x 44mm, with a comb perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark.

The sheets measure 185mm x 118mm and were produced by Printex Ltd., in the offset process. The issue consists of 500,000 of the €1.50 stamp and 30,000 of the €1.80 denomination.

These stamps are now available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo.
