A 32-year old motorcyclist was grievously injured in an accident on Saturday evening in Gozo.

The accident happened at around 6.30pm in Triq ir-Rabat in Zebbug.

The motorcyclist, who is from Nadur, was riding a Kawasaki, when it was involved in a collision with a Fiat 500 car driven by a 26-year old woman from Xaghra.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where it was later certified he has sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
