An 18-year old Ghajnsielem youth was grievously injured after losing control of his car in Gozo on Wednesday evening.

Police said that the accident happened at around 8.45pm in Triq Borg Gharib, Ghajnsielem.

The teenager, who was driving a Toyota Corolla, lost control of the car and crashed into a wall and three parked cars.

A medical team assisted the teenager at the scene before taking him to the Gozo General Hospital for treatment, where he was certified s having sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
