President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, has visited the MaltaPost centre in Xewkija which employs more than 60 people with disabilities.

During the visit Ms Metsola spoke with the employees and “saw the valuable contribution they are making not only in the company, but also in the community.”

President Metsola stated that “in the European Parliament we will continue to work in favour of more inclusion, equality, and to ensure that everyone – regardless of abilities – has the same chance. Without prejudice. There is still a long way to go, but we can get there.”

She went on to say that, “no disability should serve as an obstacle for him or her to reach their potential. We want to make it easier and create the best conditions for more disabled people to find work, opportunities and for society to help them reach their abilities.”
