Gozo Live – Gozo College would like to remind all students at schools (state or church) in Gozo that the 2023 Writing Participation 2023 is now open for entries.

Students are invited to submit a story, essay, poem or play in English or Maltese on any subject of their choosing.

The organisers said that the success of this participation is dependent on the response of students in Gozo.

Teachers and parents are encouraged to support students and ensure that entries come streaming in. The closing date is the 30th of November.

The organisers said that there are no restrictions on the length of the writing, but students are encouraged to write creatively on a subject of special interest to them.

Selected entries will be printed in the 10th edition of the book Young Writers of Gozo. Entries may be illustrated, but this is not essential. The best original drawing will appear on the book cover.

All students entering will receive a copy of this book as well as a certificate of achievement and their entries will be returned with judges’ comments.

Entries should contain the name of the student, name of the school and the year of study or age of the student. They may be posted or delivered to Gozo Live, 21A Gnien Xibla, Xaghra or emailed to gozolive2018@gmail.com

Emailed entries must be in WORD form; no other format can be accepted, the organisers said.
