Lara and Daniel Sultana have been announced as the winners of the 2023 Youth4Entrepreneurship Gozo Award.

The Gozo Business Chamber said that their idea titled ‘Study Café’ gathered the most votes from our panel of experts. They also won the €500 prize.

Their idea is a `Study Café,’ where students can go to focus, study, and get work done without distractions.

There will be an area where desktop computers will be located in order for students to use them for research and so on.

Furthermore, students can buy stationery or print documents from the stationary area that will be in the café and can also order cold or hot drinks to their table, as well as light snacks.

In the café there will be space that can be rented out by organisations where workshops, lectures or meetings can be held. Moreover, in case the students are in need of a break, the café will also include a games room.

The Gozo Business Chamber expressed its thanks to all other participants who made this year’s competition possible. “We had a tough competition this year. We would like to thank you for submitting your business proposals.”

The Chamber said that “going on stage in front of a panel of experts and an audience is not easy, we truly hope that this event spurs you on to achieve bigger things in the future.”

The Chamber also thanked their main partners, the Gozo Regional Development Authority, Agenzija Zghazagh, Europe Direct Gozo, BOV, JA Malta Foundation, Malta SME Week and the Ministry for the Economy, European Funds and Lands.
