Registered full-time employment totalled 274,395 in August 2023, this was an increase of 7.3% over August 2022, the National Statistics Office said today.

The latest data show that part-time as a primary job amounted to 36,447, an increase of 3.6% when compared to the same period in 2022.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 9.2% over a period of one year reaching 223,020.

The NSO noted that public sector full-time employment decreased marginally by 10 persons since August 2022 totalling 51,375.

As compared to August 2022, full-time employment for males went up by 7.6% amounting to 166,499, while that for females increased by 6.9% reaching 107,896.
