Il Misteru tal Gran Kastel – is the title of a new publication just launched on the history of the Citadella, by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning, in full collaboration with Heritage Malta.

Present for the launch was Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri and students from the Bishop’s Conservatory Secondary School.This book, which is aimed in particular at students of the first years of secondary school, is written by Carm Cachia with illustrations by Cherise Micallef.

This is an educational publication that is being launched on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the completion of various works, which shaped the fortifications of the Gran Kastell – better known today as the Citadella.
