The National Blood Transfusion Service is calling on blood donors to attend the next session in Gozo which is scheduled for Tuesday
Each blood donation made can help save three lives. The National Blood Transfusion Service said less than 5% of the eligible population actually takes the time to donate blood – Just 3 out of 100 people. “In which percentage do you fall?”
The NBTS stressed that “your help is needed to help ensure hospitals have an adequate blood stock for patients in need.”
The Service said that it therefore continues to encourage Gozitans to please keep attending donation sessions to help the patients in need get the necessary blood in a timely manner.
The next session in Gozo will be, Tuesday, the 11th of June, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Community Clinic.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Community Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
