The Xewkija Local Council has announced that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Local Council and Project Green in relation to the regeneration project of the Playing field in Tal-Barmil Housing Estate.

For this project, the Council explained that around €500,000.00 has been allocated, and the processing of tenders will commence in the coming days.

The Council said that this project includes;

Renewable energy technologies – wind tree and kinetic flooring;

New reservoirs and advanced irrigation systems that reduce water waste and pathways formed out of mesh and gravel to increase rainwater absorption;

New garden play equipment made from sustainable materials

USB charging stations and benches for people who visit this open space to work or study.
