Nadur will be welcoming visitors this weekend for the traditional, annual Wirja Agrarja – Agricultural and Artisan Fair, organised by the Nadur Local Council,

This is always a very popular fair and it is expected to attract over 4000 visitors to view the various exhibits on display in the centre of the village.

The fair has been taking place since the establishment of the Councils and visitors to the fair will be able to enjoy a variety of events, including an exhibition of local farm products, livestock, crafts, artisans, taxidermy, antique farming tools and machinery, vintage vehicles, traditional ghana, folk dancing, as well as Gozitan food and wine tasting and much more. Pets and livestock will be blessed on Sunday morning.

The fair will be held in l-Arcipriet Martin Camilleri Square, on the 22nd and 23rd of June, from 8:00 pm onwards on the Saturday, and on Sunday from 8:00am onwards.
