The HSBC Malta Foundation supported once again the STEM & VET Curriculum Hub with regards to the Primary Stem Challenge Initiative 2024 for schools in Gozo and Malta.
The Foundation said that following submission of final products for the Primary STEM Challenge, all entries have been adjudicated by a panel of professionals. The Directorate for STEM & VET Programmes has awarded the prizes as follows:
Theme 1 – Soil
1st prize: Emilie Saliba (Year 5), Sacred Heart College Malta Junior School
2nd prize: Michele Camilleri (Year 6), Gozo College ?u?é Aquilina Primary & Special Unit Sannat
3rd prize: Veronica Agius (Year 5), Sacred Heart College Malta Junior School
Theme 2 – Chemical Reactions
1st prize: Christopher Pisani (Year 4), Gozo College ?u?é Aquilina Primary & Special Unit Sannat
2nd prize: Nicole Giordmaina (Year 6), Sacred Heart College Malta Junior School
3rd prize: Ann Zammit (Year 6), Marsaskala St Anne Primary School
Theme 3 – Light
1st prize: Kimberly Marie Gatt (Year 6), Sacred Heart College Malta Junior School
2nd prize: Ethan Gatt (Year 4), Laura Vicuna School
3rd prize: Giuseppe Campione (Year 4), Zejtun Primary B
Classroom Award
Ms Romina Spagnol, Year 5, Maria Regina College Qawra Primary – Theme chosen: Chemical Reactions
Each winner will receive vouchers while the Classroom Award comprises €150 worth of science resources, both kindly supported by the HSBC Malta Foundation.
Esplora Interactive Science Centre is awarding the Science Communication Award prize to the following participants for each theme.
