President and GTA discuss challenges faced by Gozitan touristic operators

The constant challenges being faced by Gozitan touristic operators, and the opportunities to enhance further this important tourism sector for the Island’s economy, were discussed at length during a meeting between President Dr. Myriam Spiteri Debono and the Gozo Tourism Association Council.
This meeting was held on Saturday during a visit by the President to the offices of the GTA in Victoria. It was a follow up of the first meeting held at San Anton Palace late in May.
President Myriam Spiteri Debono thanked the Gozo Tourism Association for its endeavours in the Gozitan touristic sector, whilst noting that the Associations’ attainments along the past 25 years, that have contributed towards a sustainable touristic sector on Gozo.
The Chairman of the Gozo Tourism Association Mr. Paul Scicluna thanked the President for following the work being carried out by the Association as well as for her interest in the course of the touristic development on the island.
At the conclusion of the meeting the Chairman of the GTA presented a gift to Dr. Myriam Spiteri Debono.
