The National Blood Transfusion Service has once again expressed its thanks to all those who continue to donate blood even during these hot months of summer.
Whilst A and O blood groups are the commonest blood types on the Maltese Islands, the Service said that it needs all types of blood to ensure stable stock amounts.
The Service urges Gozitans to show their solidarity and please support sick patients in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta by making a donation on one of the four dates that are shown below during August, the first one being Tuesday, the 6th of August.
Please keep the blood supply stable by committing to becoming a regular donor.
Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club:
Sundays – last registration 1:00pm
11th August from 8:00am-1:00pm
