The National Blood Transfusion Service has said that all blood types are currently needed, “donations are requested to help ensure hospitals have an adequate blood stock for patients in need.”
It therefore continues to encourage Gozitans to please keep attending donation sessions to help the patients in need get the necessary blood in a timely manner.
The next session in Gozo will be, Tuesday, the 8th of August, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Community Clinic.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Community Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
• Bring your Maltese ID Card, driving licence or passport.
• Drink some water before your donation and have a light snack.
• Wear loose fitting clothes/sleeves.
