The police have reported that late this morning a 50-year old German woman died in a diving accident after getting into difficulties at Mgarr ix-Xini.
A medical team gave their assistance on site, but unfortunately the woman was declared dead at the scene.
An enquiry is being led by Magistrate Paul Coppini.
