Data from the National Statistics Office show that In July, the annual rate of inflation as measured by the RPI was 1.4%, up from 1.3% in June.
The highest annual inflation rates in July were registered in Other goods and services (5.2%) and Personal care and health (3.8%).
On the other hand, the lowest annual inflation rates were registered in Transport and communication (-1.0%) and Furnishings and household equipment (-0.7%).
The NSO noted that the largest contribution to the overall annual inflation was measured in the Food Index (+0.58 percentage points), which, as in previous months, was largely due to the higher prices of restaurant services.
The largest downward contribution was recorded in the Transport and Communication Index (-0.21 percentage points) mainly reflecting the lower prices of mobile phone services.
The 12-month moving average rate for July stood at 2.7%.
