According to latest data from the National Statistics Office, registered full-time employment totalled 285,989 in April, this was an increase of 6.3% over April 2023.

The NSO noted that part-time as a primary job amounted to 34,281, an increase of 5.1% when compared to the same period in 2023.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 7.3% over a period of one year reaching 234,029.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 1.8% since April 2023 totalling 51,960, the NSO said.

As compared to April 2023, full-time employment for males went up by 6.2% amounting to 173,339, while that for females increased by 6.4% reaching 112,650.
