Special bus services will be running for the Notte Bianca event this Saturday, the 5th of October. Malta Public Transport said that this year’s service has been restructured with additional routes covering key areas across the island.

In addition to the regular Night Services (N13, N48, N62, N82, and N91), a number of special routes will be available throughout the night. The S10 route will connect Paola with Kalkara, passing through Isla and Bormla, while the S12 service will run towards Msida and Bugibba, covering stops such as San Giljan, Pembroke, Bahar ic-Caghaq, and Qawra.

Those travelling to central areas can make use of the S13, which runs towards Msida, Gzira, Sliema, and San Giljan with frequent services operating throughout the night.

Other routes will provide connectivity to northern and southern regions, such as the S20, which links Gharghur via Tal-Qroqq and San Gwann, and the S40, connecting Birkirkara, Lija, Balzan, Mosta, and Mgarr. Travellers heading towards the Coast Road can use the S41, which will serve San Pawl il-Bahar, Mellieha, and Cirkewwa for those travelling onwards to Gozo. The S42 will run towards Birkirkara Valley Road and Mosta, while the S47 will provide access to several localities including Birkirkara, Lija, Iklin, Naxxar, and Mosta.

Additionally, routes like the S51 and S52 will connect Fleur de Lys continuing towards Rabat and Dingli, respectively, while services such as the S61 and S62 will link with Hamrun, Zebbug, Siggiewi, and Kandlora. Routes such as S71 and S72 will be covering Luqa, Zurrieq, Qrendi, and nearby villages. The S80 will head towards Santa Lucija and Birzebbuga, passing through Gudja and Ghaxaq. Passengers can also use the S85, which will connect Tarxien, Marsaxlokk, Zejtun and Montebello, or the S90 and S94 routes, which will provide transport to Paola, Fgura, Marsaskala, and Xghajra.

MPT said that these special services are part of the free public transport initiative, encouraging more people to travel by bus. Valid personalised Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge, while passengers without a valid card can purchase tickets for €3 from the on-board ticket machines.
