The 22nd Edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities: Empowering Communities, has taken place in Brussels.
The Gozo Region, represented by President Dr Samuel Azzopardi and the Manager for EU and Local Funds, attended several sessions, from knowledge-sharing to networking for the benefit of the future of the island region of Gozo.
EU Regions Week comprises 4 days of high-level policy sessions, workshops, participatory labs, exhibitions and regional tastings.
The Gozo Region explained that once again, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and the Committee of the Regions joined forces to create this unique event that brought together regional representatives, policymakers, experts, and citizens to exchange on cohesion policy and build their networks.
This year’s event mainly focused on innovation, sustainability, and regional growth, gathering policymakers, experts, and communities from across Europe.
